SHANNON JAGGI

Introduction to English
(Etoy and Préverenges)

Shannon Jaggi is an American/Swiss and has lived in Switzerland for 24 years. She is married to a Swiss German and has an 8 year old daughter. She speaks English, French and German. Shannon has a background in international business and previously worked in the finance sector as well as the non-profit sector as an independent consultant. The birth of her child and a serious illness (breast cancer) made her recalibrate her life direction and she turned to teaching English as a foreign language. For the last few years, she has been teaching adult professional English as well as young learners at a private school. She will be teaching “Introduction à l’anglais” in both Etoy and Préverenges.

Qualifications:

  • IH Certificate in Teaching Very Young Learners

  • CELTA Certificate (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is a teacher training qualification for teaching English as a second or foreign language (ESL and EFL)

  • Master of Business Administration International Organizations

  • Bachelor of Business Administration

  • Bachelor of Foreign Languages: German

WEE KHENG YUEN

Reading and Writing
(Préverenges)

Wee Kheng is from Singapore and lived in the US for 2.5 years and has lived in Switzerland for 11 years. She has a background in finance and is a chartered accountant. She speaks English, French and Mandarin. She divides her time between finance for a non-profit organization and teaching English where she works as a freelance teacher of English and Mandarin. In addition, she teaches online courses for Berlitz and teaches young learners at a language school in Geneva. She will teach our Reading and Writing class for advanced English speakers.
Qualifications:

Trinity TYLEC (Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate)
·       CELTA Certificate (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is a teacher training qualification for teaching English as a second or foreign language (ESL and EFL).
·       ACCA, Accountancy (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
·       Diploma, Accountancy
